In order to successfully launch an nDisplay project with Switchboard, the Live Link presets and IP address of nDisplay nodes must be set properly.

Every time a project is loaded, Live Link settings will be reset back to the default settings. To prevent this, the user needs to add a Live Link preset to the project. The following section will show how to enable a Live Link preset and set IP address of nDisplay nodes.

1. Make sure Live Link is properly set and working in Unreal Editor, and there is only one VIVE Mars running under the same local network. See Setting up the virtual camera using the Live Link Controller.

2. In Unreal > Project Settings > Plugins > UDP Messaging > Availability, toggle on Enabled by Default option.

   

3. In Live Link panel, click the Presets button, and then choose Save As Preset to create a Live Link preset.

4. In Unreal > Project Settings > Live Link > Default Live Link Preset, select the preset saved in the previous step.

   

5. The Host IP Address of nDisplay nodes should be the actual network IP, not localhost 127.0.0.1. Even though only one machine is running nDisplay.

6. In Switchboard > Settings > Settings, the IP Address of the Switchboard should be the actual network IP of the PC running Switchboard, not localhost 127.0.0.1. The Unicast Endpoint of Multi User Server should be the actual IP of the PC running Multi User Server.
